    Hello Dive Families,

    Our first dive meet of the season is tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2!

    Meet Information

    This week's meet is an intrasquad meet, which means our team will be diving only against ourselves. Because of that, the atmosphere will be very relaxed and low-pressure. If this is your child's first meet, this is a great one to start with!

    Location: Lake Forest Lodge Pool

    Schedule:

    • 5:00 p.m. – Warm-ups begin
    • 5:45 p.m. – Meet starts
    • All age groups will compete at the same time.
    • The meet should last approximately one hour.

    We have a small team, so we are adjusting our normal meet schedule to allow everyone extra warm-up time and a mini practice before competition begins.

    Thank you to the parents who have already volunteered to help!

    Dive Cards

    I will complete dive cards during warm-ups. Normally these are prepared ahead of time, but for this first meet we will be flexible as divers continue practicing and finalizing their dive lists.

    Please arrive on time and be ready to enter the water when warm-ups begin.

    Information for New Dive Families

    General Meet Rules

    • Dives cannot be repeated.
    • Divers may perform different dives within the same dive group (for example, a Forward Dive Pike and a Forward Somersault Tuck).
    • Divers may not perform the same dive in two different positions (for example, a Forward Dive Pike and a Forward Dive Tuck).

    Dive Groups

    There are five dive groups:

    1. Forward
    2. Back
    3. Reverse
    4. Inward
    5. Twist

    Dive Requirements by Age Group

    6 & Under

    • 3 total dives
    • Required dive: 101 Forward Dive (any position)
    • 2 optional dives
    • Must perform dives from at least 2 dive groups

    8 & Under

    • 3 total dives
    • Required dive: 101 Forward Dive (any position)
    • 2 optional dives
    • Must perform dives from at least 2 dive groups

    10 & Under

    • 3 total dives
    • Required dive: 101 Forward Dive (any position)
    • 2 optional dives
    • Must perform dives from at least 2 dive groups

    12 & Under

    • 4 total dives
    • Required dive: 101 Forward Dive (any position)
    • 3 optional dives
    • Must perform dives from at least 2 dive groups

    14 & Under

    • 5 total dives
    • Required dive: 101 Forward Dive (any position)
    • 4 optional dives
    • Must perform dives from at least 3 dive groups

    18 & Under

    • 5 total dives
    • Required dive: 101 Forward Dive (any position)
    • 4 optional dives
    • Must perform dives from at least 3 dive groups
