We are excited for younger swimmer quals Wednesday, July 13 at Springhurst subdivision pool, 4200 Springhurst Blvd 40241.  10 and under swimmers in Quals should arrive at the pool and be checked into their age groups tents by 5:00.  Our warm up starts at 5:20 and will be shorter than usual.  So be set up and ready by 5:00.  The heat sheet is attached.  Also a map of where we will be set up is attached.

Age group parents, please arrive by 4:45 pm.  Please check and make sure all the swimmers in your age group arrive at 5:00.  Let Coach Olivia know if anyone is missing.  When first call for your group's event are called, Age Group parents will gather all the kids swimming that event and walk them to Clerk of Course.  Wait with the kids at Clerk of Course until they are all taken into the Clerk of Course area.  Then tell the swimmers to meet you back at the tent when the race is over.  You will not be taking the swimmers to the start lanes-- just dropping them at Clerk of Course and waiting until they are all called in.  

Timers, place judges and stroke and turn judges - please be prepared to attend the timers and judges meeting at 5:30 on or near the pool deck.   Listen for the announcement and bring your phone fully charged!

Here are some details from Springhurst:

Concessions will be located outside the pool near the team areas and will have snacks, drinks, pizza and Chick-fil-A sandwiches for sale. Our concession stand only accepts cash. Kona Ice will also be set-up in the parking lot.

To help mitigate some traffic on deck near the clerk of course where our restrooms are located, we will have a couple of Porta Potty’s set-up in the parking lot near the team areas.

We will be directing all traffic onto the pool deck through the front/main entrance for both swimmers and parents and will then have everyone exit the pool via the auxiliary gate located next to the kiddie pool (see map below.) This will be important to keeping the flow of swimmers into the clerk of course with these shorter and quicker heats starting on the opposite end of the pool.

The Clubhouse is only available for use by LSA officials and coaches. We will be having a short 10-15 minute halftime break to switch out officials and will be offering a catered dinner and drinks to all coaches and LSA officials in the Clubhouse.

Parking is available in the Springhurst pool parking lot with the overflow parking continuing into the Moorfield neighborhood on one side of Moorfield Circle all the way around. Please observe the No Parking signs around Moorfield Circle and only park on one side of the street as marked.
