The deadline to RSVP to participate in Monday June 6th’s swim meet will be TODAY by 6 pm. The website will close the RSVP box after that time, and you will no longer be able to sign up for that meet. We have to close the RSVPs so that the coaches can see who is planning on swimming the meet and start working on the individual entries and relays for Monday’s meet, which then have to be sent to the meet host team over the weekend to be blended with the other team's entries.  The process takes some time.

(If you sign up YES that you will attend a meet, we expect you will be at the meet.  Please understand that last minute changes or no shows at meets have great negative downstream effects on other kids and the team’s ability to score points and win the meet.  If a swimmer is a no show at a meet, then a lane goes empty that could have been filled with another LF swimmer from the age group.  So someone missed out on a chance to swim.   And a no show means a relay is missing a swimmer and the other 3 swimmers in the relay cannot race and may have to scratch).

For all other Monday meets the RSVP will automatically close at midnight on the preceding Wednesday. Best practice is to just go ahead and RSVP yes or no for all the swim meets for the season. Then if something comes up you can make a change by editing your RSVP by Wednesday at midnight before that meet.

In order for the coaches to enter your swimmer into actual events for the meet, you have to register in Swimmingly and get a swimmer number for the season. This applies to both new and returning families. The instructions to do this are repeated below. The coaches will NOT be able to enter your swimmer into the meet events without a swimmer number. They will start working on these entries after 6 pm today. So even if you RSVPed yes for the meet, your swimmer will not be in the first meet unless and until the parent registers for a swimmer number on Swimmingly.

• Register your swimmer in Swimmingly to get their required swimmer number necessary for them to be entered into meets.

Swimmingly is the system that LSA Division 2 uses to run the actual swim meets. Each swimmer must get a unique Swimmingly number to be entered into meets that they will use all season. If you follow the instructions below then all returning swimmers will get the same number as last year (super important if you want to track your season to season time improvements and avoid duplicates in our system) and all new swimmers to the team will be assigned a number.

The steps below are required for ALL (new and returning) swimmers to swim in meets this season. Please take action ASAP so we can get ready for the season! Your child cannot be entered in a meet this summer until you take this action.
