Time To RSVP for Meets and Sign Up for Volunteer Jobs
Meet RSVPs:
The team website is open for RSVPs for each swim meet and signing up for volunteer shifts. Go to the Meets and Events Tab and pull down 2022 Meets to see the schedule of events and the RSVP and Job Sign Up buttons.
We need every swimmer to RSVP for every meet and let us know if your swimmer will be at each meet or not. If you do not RSVP we will not be able to enter them into the meet. Please RSVP as a NO if you cannot attend a meet so we are not left wondering if you are a no or you just forgot to RSVP.
The RSVPs MUST be done by Wednesday before the Monday meet so coaches can start working on their meet entries which are due the Friday before the Monday meet. But most people know their summer schedule so please go ahead and RSVP for ALL the meets NOW. If you need to change them, you can do that up to the Wednesday before the meet by logging into the website and editing your RSVP. If some emergency comes up last minute that will prevent your swimmer from attending a meet they were signed up for after the RSVP has closed, please contact our swim chair Jessica Petrie 502-240-2049 to let us know. We cannot have No Shows at the meet. It throws off all the relays and leaves empty lanes that could have been filled with other swimmers. Communication is key!
Volunteer Jobs:
Please go ahead and select your Job Sign Ups for the season now too. That way we can make sure everything is covered. If you have any questions about job sign ups or if there is an emergency the day of the meet that might affect your ability to complete your job, please contact our volunteer coordinator Lisa Heinemen at 502-432-9091. Our goal is to never have to assess the $100 penalty against a parent that does not show up for an assigned job on meet day. Communication is key!
Other Reminders:
- Have you logged into Swimmingly to get a swimmer number assigned for your swimmer? Both new and returning parents need to do this each year. I am attaching last week’s email that has all the links and instructions.
- Have you downloaded the Swimmingly App if you are a timer or stroke and turn judge onto your phone? I am attaching last week’s email that has all the links and instructions.
- Have you downloaded the Swimmingly Fan App on your phone if you want to follow the meet live-time and see your swimmer’s times at the meet? I am attaching last week’s email that has all the links and instructions.
- Have you downloaded the Swimtopia App and turned on Notifications to get text alert notifications about weather delays and cancellations and other breaking news? I am attaching last week’s email that has all the links and instructions.
Thanks! Can’t wait for the season to start!
